Hellen Hetterich studierte Rechtswissenschaft an der Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen. Nach der ersten juristischen Staatsprüfung war sie als Wiss. Mitarbeiterin an der dortigen Juristischen Fakultät am Lehrstuhl für Deutsche Rechtsgeschichte, Neuere Privatrechtsgeschichte und Bürgerliches Recht von Prof. Dr. Martin Lipp tätig. Die Promotion erfolgte im Juli 2015 in Gießen. Seit 2015 ist sie Referendarin am Landgericht Limburg a.d. Lahn.
