The anthology provides an overview concerning current bioethical issues. The chapters result from an interdisciplinary seminar with students of biotechnology and philosophy. Following a general introduction into bioethics, the discussion icludes topics from the beginning of life, health and human enhancement to the end of life. It comprises inter alia preimplantation diagnostics, modern food production and euthanasia.
